Cool LS2 and a 4L65E in a 67 Chevelle.

I just installed my LS2 with a 4L65E trans in my 67 Chevelle. The motor mounts I used were from BRP and the pan is also from BRP however it is a stock Hummer pan. The motor seems to fit fine but I was wondering if I could use my stoc crossmember and if so what trans mount do I use?

Trans mount is just a GM mount. You can use a Prothane or similar. They are one size fits all for TH400/TH350 and electronic versions also (4L60/65/80)

The cross memebr itself may be too far forward or rearward. You might be able to weld a stand onto the stock cross member if it is close.

For my T56, I used the stock TH350 and just cut it of, flipped it upside down and rewelded the mount back on, You might see if you can do the same.. or try some other year or trans chevelle X-member.. other options are to buy one from BRP or other vendor. Or have the local welding shot make you one out of your current xmember..

I used a Energy Suspension Trans mount for a TH350.. most GM are the same.

What kind of gauges are you (planning on) using? how about diagnostics? do you have a MIL somewhere and a DLC? I really wanna do an LS1 in a first gen Monte.

sspdfreek...you should contact John at Speartech. He can make a custom harness for any car that is "plug and play". Their stuff is really nice! I used one for an LS1 swap into a Buick Grand National and everything was perfect.
