Has anyone ever dynoed stock manifolds V headers only?Just wondering what the big hype is about must get headers??---I mean we all know what headers do, but,really,what do they do on a ls1 is the question

understandable, but,what "really" do the headers give a ls1 is the question.

Yes. I dyno'd 316 w/manifolds/catback and 354 w/headers/duals. Same dyno machine.

The scavenging effect of headers gives a great performance improvement. The headers also make the exhaust sound so good.
