Default 6.0 Guys Look Please

Ok I am looking at building a 6.0 liter to replace my high mileage ls1 this summer. I will probably go with a lq4 because of my budget. My plans are to put the 243's I already have on it then a cam I haven't chosen yet.

What I want to know is what the differences are between the different years of lq4 all I know is that some wont bolt up to a 4l60e and that at some point they got the coated pistons from the lq9.(maybe they were still dished idk) Does anyone know what years the changes happened and any other differences I need to know about?

Also what kind of rpm is it safe to spin a lq4 to? Like the same as an ls1? And what kind of are the stock internals good for?

And what are some difficulties that would be nice to know before I get all this started?

Thanks,

Michael

If your going to build it yourself then you control your rpm factor with the internals you choose. I have signature series 408 that I am offering. If your interested pm me when you ready.
