Having a cam headers and everything installed in 2 weeks... they are doing dyno runs and full tune... is there a break in period? miles? Thanks

Oil change after about 100 miles; I probably wouldn't go over 3k or so in that time period. I think some people let the engine go through several "heating cycles"; start it up, let it warm up to operating temp, turn it off, let it cool down, start it up, let it run to temp, etc etc.

Are you having the springs changed? What about the heads? With new springs you do want to go thru a few heat cycles.

yeah new springs, stock lifters.... so just let it heat up and cool down, oil change after 100 miles... keep the rpms low...

If you are having them do dyno runs then they will have all ready heat cycled the springs so you should be good to go when you pick it up. Also since its a roller cam in these motor you dont need to change the oil. A Flat tappet cam is a different story.

Always a good idea to change the oil after opening up the engine. Dust, dirt specs.. all enemies to your engine.

Yea I just love changing oil too.. its cheap insurance.. you can never change it enough IMO
