Default 4l60e Or 4l80e

I'm @ 425 rwhp w/ n2o now. since installing my 2800 vig all the programing in the world won't keep it from bouncing off the rev limiter every other time when shifting.(stock trans. 52k miles, no shift kit). I think it's time to open my wallet and get a good trans. I have plans for more n2o and aprox. 550rwhp. should i go 4l60e or just bite the bullet and get an 80e. sponsors chime in I'm ready for something. I don't want yearly freshen ups.

Well untimatley and obviously the 4L80E would be your most durable long term option that can handle your future needs as well as present. This would be the way I would advise you going, Not that a 60e cannot be built to handle the power we have several doing it. But it sounds like you want something that you can put in and basically never think about again and the 4l80e would have a perty easy life in what you are planning and should be completely worry free though nothings infalable it would be about as close as anything I could think of. IMO

For many guys the question of a swap boils down to their budget. A properly installed 4L80E can approach $4,000 and up. That is significant when you consider that a very well build 4L60E can handle what you are going to be putting down eventually.

If you would like to discuss your options feel free to give me a call.

Call either of the two guys who posted above.
Have either of them build you a 4L80e.

Spend the extra money you will not regret it I promise, because, if you are at 425rwhp and want 550rwhp, when you get to that point you will want even more. It is an addiction that is as addicting and expensive as crack, but, it is more fun. You will push the 4L60e to its limits at some point and a 4L80e with a few simple upgrades will give you the peace of mind to go as far as your wallet will take you.
