Default About to order a Moser 12 bolt eaton posi. (l

I just snapped my 10 bolt, it had richmond 3.42 ring and pinion. Im running nitrous, headers, lid, ec. My mods are in my sig.
The best ive ran with the 3.42s with e.t. streets is.

.747
1.70
4.8
7.4
94mph
11.5@118

Well, i knew the stock 10 bolt would snap and im about to order a Moser 12 bolt... Im getting 3.42s unless im more likely to shave ANY time off my 1/4th and 1/8th if i go with 3.73s. i dont care if i only shave a tenth off. Im paying 2,000 for the rear end and i can get any ratio i want and im not gettign anything other then 3.42s and 3.73s.

and also, has anyone had any fitment issues with the moser 12 bolt?

3:42's are generally known as an M6 gear. Most A4's go with 3:73's at least I did.

I've got the Moser 12 bolt in my car and while I think it's probably the strongest rear end out there for our cars I would do things differently the second time around. Factory assembled Moser rear ends have a tendency to whine, If I were going to do it again I would order the rear unassembled and find a good rear end shop to put it together, you'll be much happier.

Mine fit as well as the old 10 bolt, but I agree that the 12 bolts assembled by Moser will whine. Mine will whine on de-acceleration and when coasting to a stop. Moser says its normal due to the type of "straight cut" gears that they use, but if I had it to do over I would buy it unassembled.
