Default Trying to diagnose Oil Pressure problem

running 5w - 30 mobil 1 synthetic. last month ive noticed that once my car warms up, oil pressure is just under 40psi. before this month, oil pressure has always been 40psi+ at idle.

it now fluctuates between roughly 35psi and 40psi at idle and when the rpms increase, it seems to lag reading the rising psi, almost jerking.

this sound like an oil pump going bad, bad oil pressure sender or cam bearings going out?

thanks

I would first determine if it is the sender or guage by having it checked with a mechanical tester.
