How do you tell what slave you have?

How do you tell what slave you have? i just pulled the slave that came on my car, but id like to know which one it is, there is a casting no. on it, but does that tell which one it is, or is there another way to tell. the casting no. is D951004. all help is appreciated.

ok, well what does it say on the older one, because i thought i saw a guy on here that said that was just a casting no. on the casting and that most all of them had that number, old and new.
