Default got a new cam question

Just got a custom ground cam today. The box says 224/230 113lsa . The cam specs are suppose to be 226/232 113+ 2 advance . The ICL is 113.14 and the lsa is 113.1 . Whats going on here? Is the 224/230 what they start with and end up with the 226/232? wheres the +2 advance?

It did'nt come with a cam card?
markings on the cam in the box?

Is the lift different?

If so you could measure the lobe lift of the cam in the box?

Sorry that's all I can think of.

Good luck.

have it "cam doctored" to verify lift/duration. Sounds like cam was ground straight up? what was your IVO number?

It's 226/232 on a 113. Look at the numbers @.050. Don't see any ground advance. You can get an adjustable timing chain and set it at +2, I don't really think you need to advance it 226/232 isn't that big and +2 won't effect it that much. Think it will work fine as is. BTW you using this cam to assist on the nitrous? Seems like a mild nitrous grind to me.

My guess is they use their 224/230 based cores and turn those to make yours.

Sometime the guy that is running the cam doctor just picks a certain centerline and doctors it from there, it doesn't always show advance cause he is just checking the cam at a certain "centerline" and thats it. You need to see where the cam "DEGREES" in at, and go from there.
