I have a question so I thought I would ask the best. I am making my list for next winter when I shut down the beast. I want to port out my manifold. I have a 2001 WS6 with the LS6 manifold.

Is it worth porting out?
How much would it cost?
Can I remove and assemble with moderate mechanic skillz?
Where is a good shop to send it VIA mail or a Colorado shop?
What is a possible HP gain?

The LS6 intake manifold is plastic you can't port it.

^^ Then why can you send them in to be ported????

Porting may not be the right word. Smoothing I think is more appropriate. My tuner/mechanic was smoothing the manifold off a 2007 Z06 Vette. He claims that there is an average 16 to 20 horsepower gain when he dyno tunes after the smoothing.

Now that is what I was wondering. I would guess maybe 15HP on the LS6 manifold.
