Oil pressure is dropping {HELP}

Oil pressure is dropping {HELP} When i am diveing around it is fine.When i give it some gas and the RPMs get to about 4000 the pressure drops to like 20 pounds so i let off of it.why is the oil pressure dropping like that? It just started do it two days ago. HELP

Re: Oil pressure is dropping {HELP} Hindsight being 20/20 I noticed this problem on mine. Needless to say I spun a rod bearing due to the oilpump failing. Like robert said, in the 97-00 LS1's it very common.
