56 RWHP Gain With Induction Change!
On my HK Racing 408 I had a LS6 intake manifold, Shaner Stg 2 OEM TB, descreened OEM Maf with Whisper ends, and a Whisper lid. I then bought a Fast 90 intake and spent about 6 hours porting and port matching it to my Absolute Speed 240cc 5.3L heads. A NW TB, Lingenfelter 100mm MAF, and Fast Toys lid were installed. Mike Norris did the tune, which I think needs to be dialed in a little more since my AFR from 6,000rpm+ is like 12.0/1. Mike's dyno which is conservative showed 524/501. I was delighted since this was through a 9", with heavy Dennys Nitrous steel DS, and Jet Hot 1 3/4 headers.

Outstanding power. Lots of area under the curve.

It was definitely way cooler in the after run. That being the case, it was still a significant gain. Mike Norris has probably tuned more cars in the state of Florida than anyone else. Dyno tricks? Most people I talk to bitch that his dyno is too conservative.

Damn Raptor, you got a lot of the same stuff ie cam I got on my car, but you got great heads and headers. I got that heavy 9' and Dennys DS and 1 3/4 headers. At least we are both500+

CompXER 244/248 .612/.615 112+2.
I've been thinking about going with 17/8 long tubes, but I had such a nice gain under the curve I don't know if I'd give any of that up. What do you guys think?

That is what is up. You just sold me on replacing my restriction. My 403 put down 463hp, 462tq and I have a nonported TB and a stock LS6. But, I do have an 85mm MAF and Fast Toys 85mm Lid.

Hey Robert good to see you back again, I've missed seeing you for some time now. Did you get some of the issues you were having resolved? Also missed you a mike's Saturday open house, good turnout. Hope you are doing well with your own sites. David

I guess its a good comparison with the after results being in ~30 degree cooler air with uncorrected #'s. Every dynosheet I see from there is either uncorrected or in the STD c/f. And I have yet to go to one shop who didn't tell me their dyno reads lower than normal, thats just a typical bs line to make you feel better about your #'s.
