Default gains from 1.8 rockers on stock engine?

I'm considering the higher lift rockers, the engine is stock internals so far. What hp gains should I realistically expect? Are there any tuning issues? Also, there are the 1.8 Yella Terra, and the 1.85 SLP, for about the same price - what should I go with? Opinions?

If you are planning a cam swap stick with the stock ratio. If not the higher ratio will act like slightly more lift. Should have no tuning issues. Yella Terra`s are a full roller and shaft style rocker will offer better valvetrain stability. The SLP`s are mimics of stock rockers potential to have same problems and offer no extra friction loss as the rollers do. We are currantly offering the Yella Terra on a GP in the sponsor section. Give me a call if you have any more questions or to place an order.

Thanks Nate

they should only give you about .025 lift (1.8) which isnt going to be a huge increase in H.P. for example the GTP is 1.6 and going to 1.8 gave it 16 h.p. (flywheel) thats not much

On a cammed car, we saw only 8 HP. A stock motor is probably going to be somewhere in the 5 HP range.

Kevin, did you try it on a nitrous car?

No, we didn't try it with the spray. We ended up taking the rockers off soon after because of running complications with them on. The additional lift induced by the 1.8 ratio (instead of 1.7) turned the lower end driveability into crap.

I will be putting a set on a blower car soon. I don't expect to see any more than 10 HP.

Good Luck

i seen an article in a mag. that said 20 h.p. with the SLP 1.85 kit, that included springs. they said that with the stock cams agressive ram profile that the higher lift is hard on springs
