Default Cutting real vents into LT1 Z28 hood?

I wondering if this is a good idea for a little extra cooling. I just got my 93 LT1 and wasn't sure if it would matter either way to cut real vents into the fake vents on the Z28's hood. Sorry if this is a dumb idea and it's been discussed before, I DID use the search function before posting.

I don't think it would really help with the cooling. Also it would create more drag which would slow your car down just a little and possibly create more lift at high speeds. Just a thought.

I realized after looking closely that the vents would only be cooling the area that covers the back of the motor and starts into the dash board so I saw it was a bad idea.
