will a lt1 t56 bolt up to a ls2? will a lt1 t56 tranny bolt up to a ls2? Or do i need a 6 spped out of a gto? how about the ls1 tranny? thinking of doing a swap. thanks in advance.

From what ive read swapping the bell housing and input shaft is all it takes but of course its only beneficial if you already have both to interchange parts. As i said its what ive read so im not too positive on that.

There are a couple of different routes, but all require "extra" parts, whether they be special spacers or bellhousings.
The easiest, most fool-proof, way to go is with the LS1 specific transmission.
