Default High mile T56?

How do these hold up behind mostly stock LS1's after 100K miles assuming no power-shifting has been done?

My buddy had one that went to 188k with frequent abuse (7k rpm power shifting etc).
It got rebuilt after that and kept on ticking.

what year is the car? near or past 100k I would start saving for a rebuild."assuming no power shifting",you sure you have a LS1 with a T56,once in a while this cars are going to get power shifted, don't kid yourself

I've done several with 150K pls on them . If you drive them soft and keep oil in them , I see no reason why they wouldn't go 200K easy .

+1 From what I have seen they start to fade right at the 100k mark no powershifting or not. I mean I guess unless you car never got shifted hard above 4,000 rpm or something like that.

Mine went out at 105K, not from power-shifting, but from my tendency to lug around in 6th (wore out the 5/6 drive gear splines on the mineshaft).

In my case, around 1000-1500 RPM.

What are the first signs? I have 104K and I have no trouble at high rpm, nothing. The only issue is when it's cold it feels notchy on low rpm shifts (under 2K) and getting into reverse is a pain sometimes. All new hydraulics as well.

My 1st trans the clutch last 3,000 miles Then the trans was popping out of gear at 30k, then it wouldn't go into 2nd or 3rd gear, needless to say I blew up the motor so I bought another motor and trans, got a new clutch and flywheel, the 10,000 miles I drove it with the other motor and trans I never had a single issue.
