Question Moog Bushings Can I mix with poly?

Can I put replacement Moog front A arm bushings and Rear control arm bushings with poly swaybay bushing? I'm concerned poly bushings everywhere will be too harsh.

Moog Front Part # K6490

Moog Rear Part # K6178

Do I need to replace the metal sleeves too???

At one time I had the Moog 6178s in the front of my LCAs, and poly at the axle. Took the poly out, as I think there's still a possibility of "bind" with the poly.

I had all poly in the front end at one time too. Too harsh, at least for the roads here in western New York.

Don't use Poly at all, at least not for control arms. Use Moog/1LE rubber or rod ends only.

From my experience, the replacement bushings are already pre-sleeved and are just needed to be pressed in once the old ones are pressed out.

And Yes, for control arms, you should try to avoid poly (exception of having a rear poly/rod control arm, having the poly mounted on the body side.

AFA the swaybars (street and some light track apps), poly is actually beneficial for swaybar endlink bushings and swaybar-to-body bushings.

Ok. Thanks for the replies. Are the above part numbers the 1LE bushings or is it something different?

Stay away from poly in the front particularly if you live anywhere where the temperature drops below 50F.

I put them in the front of my SS and regret it totally. They give a very harsh ride and squeak like crazy when it is cold out. If it is above 65F they are quiet and anything below they "crunch" over every small bump.
