Default New Car gets a new face lift! (start up video added)

I bought this 2001 SS roughly 3 weeks ago, and I've only driven it once. I finally came home from my engineering co-op and it is time to put all the pieces that I've ordered together: LS6 Stage 1 heads, MS4 cam, QTP longtubes, 42lb injectors, FAST 90/90. These are a few pics of the car getting some fresh paint. I've just recently used comet cleanser and a scotchbright pad to clean the entire car, as well as remove most of the panels to be sanded. All SS emblems were removed and will be replaced by two 1969 Camaro fender emblems (the cursive "Camaro"). They should look good with the chrome 10 spoke. Hopefully it will turn out well.

The exhaust is going, I prefer the turndown look. Directly after the longtubes, will be the mufflers and then directly after that will be the turndowns. I will post more pictures later today.

Sorry....never got a chance to get pictures up today, but I was thinking about leaving the door trim off, and removing the SS grill insert and replacing it with a billet (steel) grill that I would paint a flat black color. This would only leave me with those two 1969 emblems (the mod that I am most excited about). About the exhaust, that 3M tape on the rear valance (for the center exhaust) took a while to remove, but I think it will be well worth it, also, it did have a slight crack.

Man, I sure hope so. I'm trying to incorporate a few "old school" detailed points. This is leading me to relocate the coils and go with a billet valve cover. I guess everyone has those moments "while I've got the motor out, I might as well..........."

Well, I've already ordered a stainless billet grill and it should be here in a few days. As far as the valance, I'll post some more pictures of it later, but like i said, it does have a crack in it. I meant to take some more pictures today of the progress. I've finished the first layer of sanding (the 220 grit) and up next will be the 400 grit.

Hey Hatcher!

Does anyone know how to remove the panel between the side window and roof panel?

im not sure if you are talking about the little triangle piece or not so ill wait for a response. The car is going to be a beast for sure. Im not sure about that 200 shot though. If it were me, id hit a 150... but thats just me. I have no money to fix anything if it gets broke plus with the MS4 and heads alone, not much will be able to hang...

Yea, it is the little triangle piece directly behind the window. I've pealed the interior out and I can't find any bolts to remove it.
