Default Exhaust Smell...

I notice this at WOT. It smells like sulfur. I just noticed this today. The car sits over the week and gets driven sometime on the weekend. I had this same smell on my 89 camaro. people would say that its the cat. Well the cat on my 00 LS1 are factory and have never been changed out. Are my cats going bad?

just cut em out anyway or replace them. They have been on for 7 years and I'm sure alot of gunk has accumulated and cuased a smell and also a power loss due to a less fre flowing exhaust. Cut em out...

Uhhh...if you're from California I would strongly advise you to leave the catalytic converters IN your exhaust system. The rotten egg smell is usually caused by running poor gas or low octane fuel. I would say to flush whatever gas you have in your car and fill up on some premium gas and throw in a good bottle of treatment. See if you still get the rotten egg smell.
