98 SS First time to the track
See sig for mods... First and second pass the car felt like a total dog out of the hole and netted nearly 2.3 sec 60' times (not spinning) and 13.90 @ 102. I thought maybe it was just slow because I had been driving for an hour and didnt let it cool down more than 5 minutes before racing. So I popped the hood to let it cool down for about 15 minutes and noticed my IAT wasn't plugged in. I plugged it in and lined up for my next pass. I didn't launch so hard but it did hook and no bogging, it went 13.32 @ 105.5 on a 2.06 60'. Next pass I pretty much hot lapped it and tried to launch it harder, it spun a little and then again when it shifted into second (my tires are dead), that pass it went a 2.11 60' and 13.4 @ 105.7. I am okay with those numbers all things considered. Next thing to do is install this pink converter in it thats sitting next to me and get some nice tires.

these cars like to cool down... i would recommend atleast 20-30 minutes before each run, and definitely let cool down awhile when you get there with the hood popped... its very easy to break things on these cars when they are hot lapped.. plus the time in between allows you to get your nerves and check out the car and make sure everything looks good (aka IAT sensor not plugged in)...pretty good times BTW
