Default Tape on fuel lines.

What is the silver tape on the fuel lines for? I think its insulation or something but its not on the lines where they run right next to the exhaust manifold.

insulation! if im not mistaken i think its steel braided under the rubber

Mines been off for years, but I do have FRC's. That stuff is thin crap anyway....
