Will this cam work with a F1A
I am going to build a 427 LS7. I was wondering if my cam that I have now will work with my FI set up? Cam is 244/248...612/615..112+2 LSA. If I use it what will be the goods and the bads with that cam? What cam would be good for this set up? Motor will be around 9.0-9.5 comp (what should the comp be?) and 14psi with the F1A. Cars is a 6spd with 3.73's spool. Any info will help

Pretty much any cam will work with a centrifical blower, ideal is another story.
These cams tend to use boost diffrently vs a traditional blower cam with zero to a few deg of overlap.
I would try it and see what she does, but you are in the ball park for a mild to moderate street cam.

What cam or who makes a good cam for s/c? That cam is in my n/a motor right now. I will get a diff cam if needed. This is a street car so I would like good low but good top end. 850rwhp+

A 427 will want a larger cam for sure, something in the 240s/250s for max streetable hp.
What cylinder heads are going on this?
Intake design?
Blower / aprox boost (pulley dia).
A smaller 230s/240s cam will peak around the 6k mark and depending on the grind it may carry it on for a little while.
For Example,
Our FI cam (232/240 595/608 115), is a great cam for 346 motors, we see a general peak on average with blowers in the range of 6500-6700 depending on alot of variables.
In a 382 that same cam tends to peak 200 or so rpm less, but usualy with a broader tq range from the CI.
In a 402/408, this cam peaks right at 6000/6100 ish, torque band is broad, but not where it should be.
We now offer a larger 400in cam for this reason, it is a 236/246 60x/60x 114, this is a nice cam that will bring power out to the range of 6400-6600 depending on heads/intake combo.
As allways, a custom cam will be more for your setup then rather a shelf grind. Some heads flow better then others, and a vr jr will spec out diff then a fast 90.
