Default Egr

ok so i want to delete the EGR on my car but i cant seem to find any good write up, and yes i tried the serch button. Can anyone tell me what i need to do or give me a link to a write up, would also prefer it with picrutes. Oh one more question im planning on washing the engine bay should i cover anything up? i also heard i should leave the car running? sorry for the noob questions this is my first LSx car!!

ummm just unbolt it? there should be two bolts on the top of your intake manifold, as well as a bolt or two on the unit itself (connected to passenger head) just unbolt, unplug the wiring harness and put in a brass freeze plug, i think 1 3/8"??? im sure someone will correct me on that, but its pretty straightforward.

but believe it's like two 10mm bolts connected to the passenger side head and unbolt from the exhaust manifold and cover with a block off plate, like said, disconnect wiring clip and screw the nut out from the top of the intake manifold and it is a 1-3/8 freeze plug that you replace on the top of the intake manifold, now you might as well get an LS6 intake

...far as washing the engine bay... pressure wash the hell out of it, nothing to cover

don't forget about a tune to delete the codes for the egr removal
