Default Dumb Question.....Help Please

I need to get a new axle for my 2000 Z-28 (Automatic w/Traction Control). I bought this car used 7 months ago and it has squeaked ever since, and I found out that the hub at the end of the RH axle is bent.

I found one used on ebay for $70 shipped and it says 7.5".

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...234225629&rd=1

1) How do I know whether or not mine is 7.5"?
2) Do I need to know if it is 10 bolt also? Is mine 10 bolt?
3) Do I need to know what my gear ratio is? How do I find out all these things?

Yeah, I know I'm a loser. SORRY AND THANKS!!

3rd Gen F bodys and 4th Gen fbodys axles came in different lengths so make sure you get the one for your year. Make sure you get the right spline count. 28 splines after 1989 and 26 splines before 1989. Make sure you get the axle with the reluctor ring for the ABS and you should be good.

Unfortunately.........all the ebay listing says is 7.5" and will fit all '98-02 F-Bodies with TCS/ASR.

THANKS!!!!

Through reading a lot of the axle posts on here, I am thinking that my car came stock with 7.5"/10 bolt/3.23/4 channel rear end.
