ok my question is this. i have a 408ci in my car. if i throw stock ls1 heads, cam, ls1 intake and all the other stock parts like a stock motor would have, will i be able to pass? if all the smog stuff is there and it looks all stock how would they tell that i have a 408 in the car? im just tryin to come up with some ideas on what to do with out pulling the motor out. any help would be great. thanks

ive talked to the smog techs at my dealer about smogging a 408, and they said as long as all the oem smog equipment is in it is proper place theres no problem cause they dont what the engine bay should look like anyways. i think as long as there no aftermarket brands sticking out like for example afr sig. on the head then they wont have a reason to suspect you of anything, plus theyre not gonna waist time looking for engine casting numbers. get the tune dialed in for the sniffer, get oem exhaust manifolds and make sure all youre smog equipment is there.
