Sucks dude, that darn thing is so tight in between the carrier that I dont think you could ever get a drill and extractor in there, and you cant get the frickin carrier out until you get the pin and axles out. My only suggestion would be to maybe try a left handed drill bit IF you can get it in there at all, if not, I dont have any idea how you could get that sucker out.

do not know if there is a correct way to remove the pin, if it were my problem I would try a saw/saw if it would not cut the pin so I could remove it, try a small grinder or a torch, I would remove the pin no mater what it takes
