Default HP gains from 90mm intake/TB?

I am thinking of getting a 90mm Intake and TB and wondering if the HP gains will be worth the money? Anyone have any numbers from adding this combo?

They dont make the 90mm, You have to go with 92. I just ordered 92mm intake and 92mm t/b.Its good for 20 HP to the tires.

It all depends on your other mods,If you are heads and cam you will see more hp gains vs if you have no other mods.

I just picked my car up from the shop, while it's true the gain depends on mods, I didn't realize I would lose torque. I gained like 15 hp but lost almost 20 tq. i went from the LS6 to the FAST 92 combo. Careful.

$1500 for 15 HP? Amazing! 100/HP so I will never be doing that one.

It was not a ported 92 intake or 92 T/B, just stock. I haven't heard of loss of tq either but in the last year or so, i've learned real world numberss don't necessarily jive with info I find on here. In case some are wondering, I have stock heads but I also have long tubes, .585 lift cam, and all suspension upgrades, K&N FIPK, basically all other bolt ons so i'm at a loss myself.

Yeah I have an LS1 intake so I was hoping for a bigger gain than that. Would it be a better idea to just upgrade to the LS6 intake?

If your just a bolt-on car or a cam only car then you will be better off with the LS6 for now. Some people even with heads and cam still prefer the LS6 as well over the Fast set-ups. When it comes down to that time i will have to see whether i can justify spending $1500 for an intake. But an LS6 is always good, especially over the LS1 intake.

I'm considering putting my LS6 back on and selling my FAST 92mm combo. It just wasn't worth it.

LOL it's not just about gaining HP. You have more room up top to pull your motor to and actually have it make power.

I ran an LS6 on my cam only setup for a long time, and now I am getting ready to throw a 90 on so I can spin my motor higher. My LS6 seems to run out of lungs at 6700 and the powerband peaks off.

Martin- Do you have a cam or ported heads? If you are planning for the future the Fast will be there to supply the extra air flow.

where are you guys overpaying for your intakes??

TSP is still selling the intake for $1100 with the TB included....granted its not ported.

subtract the $300+ for selling your ls6 if you have it...and you're well below a grand for 15-20hp.

i'm looking to do it to my cam only car....jsut because i don't have the $$ or the mechanical means to do a head swap right now.

So if I plan on staying pretty much a bolt on car then the ls6 setup will be plenty for me? I would be happy with a mid 12's daily driver.

I have only stock heads. I will probably keep the 92 combo for future mod gains but it doesn't make it easy when I see very little gain after a big investment.

Are you sure that you installed the right valley cover bolts, and tightened down all the intake bolts?

I didn't tighten mine down enough, and after going over them over & over, I sealed up a leak, and it gained a shitload.
