1967 nova ls1 help with set up
im in the process of building a 67 nova and im going to swap a ls1 into it but not quite sure yet what to do..
im thinking im gonna do the ls1 with a auto the stock auto..
this car needs no cats or any smog stuff cause the year and im gonna run the long tube headers tci builds for the nova ls1 swap..any way whats a great proven cam that makes the most power with out changing my stall huge and still can be driven on the street decently...
i orig wantd a ms3 but think with a small/ no stall it will blow
other thing is what power will these stock trannies on the ls1 take.. i want to go 6 speed but they cost more and im worried that it might be real hard to put hydrolic clutch assembly in my old nova

If you don't want a huge converter then I'd stay under the 230 duration. I'd get a yank or vig converter in the 3k area and a mid 220's cam. Just a little food for thought, with my combo I still get 17 mpg. If you get a converter they are pretty much the same price for any size under 4k and cam's are the same price too.
