Default Do I need to connect TCC-brake cable

So I have swapped to a LQ9 engine in my -68 Firebird and now I wonder if I most connect the TCC break switch signal/Cruise control release signal (420, purple) even if I donīt use the cruise control? Does the PCM use this signal for something else ? M

hmmm, dunno what color or # mine was, but on my 6.0/4l80e I have a reworked speartech harness, one wire was labeled brake switch, I had to hook it up via relay to my brake switch. I am guessing this unlocks the converter. I'm not using cruise.
Sorry if this info is of no use.

The trans needs this signal to unlock the converter. You'll need a relay or a new switch that has two sets of contacts, one normally open and the other normally closed.

Here is one option:

This is probably why your engine is stalling.
