Default changed motor, pcv valve problems...98 to 01

i got a new motor that was from an 01 and it did not come with an intake, so i pulled it from my 98 that was knocking and originally in the car...the problem is the pcv is a different setup. i have read alot of the different threads about how it it a really bad design with the non-ls6 models, but i do not have the money right now to get that set up...

i just need to know how to run the one that was on the 98 with the different hole size on the valve cover of the 01 motor...any suggestions?

thanks for any help

Default Pcv

The factory 98's had a PCV valve inline on the pass. side. The drivers side valve cover was a fixed orifice that had a 90 degree elbow on top of it. REPLACE the factory PCV valve with p/n 12572717 that goes on top of the drivers valve cover (assuming you're using the center bolt style). You can spend $50-100 on the new PCV hose system from GM for a 99-02, or buy some heater hose and make your 98' system work.
