Service Column Lock
I have had this car for about 2 weeks now and have already had to deal with this **** twice. I took it to a chevy dealership and they ran the vin and found out that the previous owner took it in to get fix back in 05 they said that the warrenty is only for a year. If this is a dealer recall and apparently they didnt fix it in the first place shouldnt they have to pay to get it fixed properly? They wanted me to pay but Im wanting to look into it more before I do anything. Is there a way I can correct this problem or do I need to take it to the stealership? Thanks

are you currently locked out right now? or is it intermittent? thats a big factor.
if your locked out, theres a good *chance* you can get it to where you can put the CLB box on it. if your good allready, its a piece of cake.
the dealership recall is a waste of time, dont do it.
i agree with ColeTrain, the corvettes of houston box works like a charm and you'll never have to worry about it again. should take less than an hr to install.
