Default C/H swap with motor in car????

So I'm trying to do all my homework be4 I get to far into the project, and spend all my money. My main question is can a Cam/Head swap be done with without removing the motor? (2000 Z-28) I will also be replacing the intake, timing chain, lifters, pushrods, springs, and oil pump. Let me know what you guys think, and if any of you have done this please please let me know details. How it went, time frame, any problems you ran into, or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Yes. Everything can be done in car.

How it went,
Okay. Time consuming.

time frame,
16 - 20 hours. Depends on how much time you spend prepping your block for the new heads.

any problems you ran into,
Cleaning the deck of the block. Graphite gaskets crumbs everywhere.

or tips would be greatly appreciated.
Good info in the Stickies and at http://www.ls1howto.com I used their writeup for my Heads/Cam swap.
