Default HELP! I'm trying to put extra dome lights in!

Alright I'm putting led dome lights in where the visor mounts go. I've got em in and it looks good but I'm having trouble wiring them. I wired them in to the map lights but the led lights don't go off with the maps when I close the door and such. They just get a constant power source and just stay on. How do I get them to go on and off with the courtesy/dome lights without some extra switch?

Connect your LEDs using the blue/white wire for power and the white wire for ground (wires at the mirror). This is because the BCM controls the courtesy lights by varying the ground through the white wire - that's how it provides the theater dimming effect when they go off.

alright I'll do that, I tried the power through the blue/white and then the ground through the black but I'll do it how you said and let you know. Thanks

alright I got it thanks whitebird for the advice I'll post pics asap, they look pretty good and give a whole lot more light off for when I need it. Another question, how do you take the map light lenses off? I just don't want to break anything forcing it. Thanks, Mike
