Default re paint question

Ok guys I have a 94z28 and its dark green grey metallic im not too fond of it. I kind of what to change it to red or black. How much does that kind of job usually cost a person to get done at a shop. I got a buddy who works at a body shop and i believe he said one of his guys would do it for 1500 bucks plus paint costs. Does that sound like a good deal? thanks for the help.

$1500 is damn cheap for a color change IF its a quality job. i was lucky enough to get a color change on my 02 ss from red to black for $2k and it came out nice...they painted all the jams, and it shined like hell

yeah he works at a toyota dealer in the body shop and from what i have seen when visiting the shop all his guys do great jobs and he is really cool with all of them so they wont screw me over i know that for sure. I have already been down there a few times to have them do my window motors and stuff done cause i dont have the patience to mess with that ****. How much paint is needed for an entire car and does anyone know how much the paint costs?

not sure exactly on how much paint is needed. im sure all of the costs depend on quality of paint and material. i think its fair to assume that materials alone could range from $300-1500

Expect to pay at least $600.00 to $800.00 for material if they use a good quality paint. There are cheaper products but if your budget can afford it use the better quality paint.
