Restoration of Rally II Wheels
Well I picked up some old Rally II wheels off of Ebay, my 68 Bird has 14x6 Rally II's and only three, the fourth wheel is from a chevy, haha.
Anyways I got some 15x7s from a 70s Pontiac off Ebay, I got them cheap so as you can imagine they were in rough condition, but after some work I got them looking great, here are some pics.
this is how they looked fresh from the UPS box
after some degreaser and a powerwasher
Then I took them and mediablasted them till all the paint and rust were gone
then I hit them with some primer and painted the backside satin black and the front center dark shadow grey (OE was medium grey, but I didnt think it contrasted enough)
So then I masked off the appropriate areas to spray the silver and sanded the uncovered area
And Voila
Finished product
Now all I need are some Black PMD caps and trim rings
