New from Wichita Falls, TX
Hello all,
Just introducing myself, as requested... I don't own an LS engine (yet), but I am here to learn. I have a 1970 Camaro, which has been an intermittent project and driver for me since 1983. I am about 1/3 of the way into "major makeover #3" on this car, and at some point, probably within the next year or so, I will be looking to upgrade the engine/trans. It currently is a mild 350 with 700R4 trans. There is nothing "wrong" with it, but I want more power (of course). I want to go with a 4L80E trans, behind either a 383 or an LS based engine. The 383 would be easier for me, because I know the 1st gen small blocks and it would be a bolt in deal, but I have read such good things about the newer engines that I though I would try to "edumacate" myself and figure out what it would take, and then hopefully I can make an informed decision.
