Default fluctuating idle?

recently my cars idle has been really screwy. if i come to a stop with it in gear the rpms will go to around 300-400 and then catch at normal then go back down. it actually shut off once too. its never had this problem. i did a recent tune up and it ran great after it. now a week later it barely wants to run. i cleaned the maf today that didnt help. i guess ill pull the plugs again and check to make sure i get the wires on there good and tight. but other than that what could the problem be?

I had the same problem a while back till I p&p'd my T.B. I had a lot of gunk built up around the Idle Air Control Valve and passage way, after cleaning and porting it 6 months ago the problem is completely gone and has not come back...

Mine did that about three years ago. Both my Trans Am and Z06. I think it was just bad gas since they both did it about the same time. I haven't had a problem since.
