Default Used cam question

I got ripped by a member on a used cam & I wondering if there are any suggestions for trying to use it. It is rusted & has some serious pitting, the worst being on the rear 2 bearing journals.

Will this eat my new cam bearings? Is there a way to repair it?

Why do people leave things out in their yard and then sell them.

At the shop I work they hold +/- .0005 on cam bearings ,but there might be more on the table... mic it and maybe can be ground to 2.164, 2.163 or something ? It kinda looks like there a HOT strip going around that lobe.. not sure how that effects 5150 steel ?

Just seen your others pics that cams is screwed.
