Default Need some clutch suggestions...

Well it's about that time...AGAIN. I'm not a big fan of swapping clutches, so I want this next one to go in and not have to worry about it for awhile. I'll try to keep this short and to the point.

The car-- 99 SS, full weight, traps 119 NA now (will be adding FAST 92 and 100-150 shot of juice), has a Mcleod adjustable master

It's use-- spends most of the time on the street, gets to the track once or twice each year (or maybe a little more if I have a clutch that will hold)

What I want-- smooth engagement, something that will hold a 5k dump at the track, and something that will LAST awhile (I don't expect to get 50K out of it, but I'd be pissed if it only lasted 5K)

So....am I asking too much???

Well no I've got a Textralia on a 233 239 cam with a 100 shot and fast 90/90 and it will hold a launch real well. It's very streetable considering. just my suggestion though.

+2 for the tex clutch...... have always used spec clutches but since I got to place with my buddies H/C car with his Tex that's what I will go with next time and never look back.

I just recently threw in a used (<5K miles) Cartek Level 7 clutch that I like a lot. They were supposed to have a new version available in April, but I don't know if it ever got out. You may want to check with them as well.
