Default Need 2.5" Merge to T4 flange, build or buy?

I've seen a lot of people building their own but does anyone sell one in 304 SS? If not is there anything I can read up on cutting & fitting pipe angles? I have searched here and on some other forums and websites and cant really find anything pertaining to this subject. TIA

There was a place that sold a merge but it was for a round flange. I couldn't find the site, I think it was on my old computer.

Anyway I prefer to make my own because I think it will out flow the round flange. I slice the pipe almost in half, and almost vertically then start shaping it square with a mallet. I fit it in the flange and squeeze in the corners with a set of narrow vice grips. Then I start on the other pipe. I use a grinder to get the gap between the two pipes just right then weld.

Thanks, I havent had time to read it entirely but about the only thing that I could tell that was missing from it was how to shape the merge into a rectangle the size of your turbo flange. If you have anything you'd like to add I'm all ears & eyes. Can use all the tips, trick's,& input I can get.

The only problem with buyin one is the piece will be taller then need be. If you build your own you can make it more custom/fit where you need it, and get your wastegate in a better spot.

At first i bought a piece for a t4 flange, and we made 2 2.5's go to it.

Im sure it could of been done nice, but we ended up just cutting 2 90's and having them come into the t4 flange.

best pic i have of what we made.

We had 0 experience with metal fab or welding before doing this. We figureded it out as we went.

FRCEFED98: I saw that and was wondering that too, I am new though and wasn't sure about if I should say something or not.

Just so you know when you see it in person you will be amazed by the workmanship, they are immaculate. mild steel 2.5 to T4 is 65.00 shipped and stainless steel is 89.00 shipped. if you buy a couple at a time the price will be a lil better.

That is the t4 flange welded already to the transition? or is that just the transition?

Thanks, Chris
