Default Shift Kit + LS1 Edit

I read the edit guide on upping the force motor line pressure and it sounds sweet. I am the one who will be tuning and I have edit with 3 other friends. I am anxious to tune their shift firmness, but is there anything I can do to mine with a shift kit or should I leave it alone? In the guide it has a way to edit the table so that the more the TPS goes up the more line pressure it will feed so that at WOT it will have max line pressure. Can I do this on my car with a shift kit or will it hurt performance/**** something up? Yeah the shift kit works great, but the reason I ask is because when I spray I have a bad 2-3 shift lag even with the shift kit. BTW i have a 3500 Stall.
