Default Turbo freaks come in for feedback....

well here it goes im doing a custom budget turbo build this time with the front mount.....trying for 1500 this time last time i went 1000 but no tune because i took it off .......

OK i got the ebay hot parts off of a local member for 600 new

God Speed intercooler 9x30x3 use d but great condition..70 bucks

ebay intercooler piping 2.5 with gay bov (not using) 100 new

I got a greddy 38mm bov from a friend used but working..50 bucks

pos new x s power 38 mm wastegate 8psi ebay 100 bucks

and a garrett rebuilt turbo not sure if its t3 or t4 he said it was t4 but 245 bucks.. it is a 1.15 a/r and .60a/r

i have a grannatilli 255 intake fuel pump...car has 30k miles on it ....Regular bolt ons 3.73 rear end built tranny ......

im getting a custom tune from boost performance out of amarillo tx for 350 ....how does everyone think this will go what kind of numbers times ect...will this work will the tubo spool ok or what ...

give me all your thoughts lol but dont bash to bad im 18 just out of school and working on the rigs ....just for more info the turbo and wastegate will be replaced by a ls1tech member with witha masterpower turbo and a tial wastegate on my bonus check so this stuff is just test trial so please be nice lol jk....

lol ^^ i feel ya ninetres. Ok just stick with it and work hard at it im positive you will spend more than what you're budget is "on paper" but you have the right idea more or less. One thing i will tell you though is that you can possibly go cheap on every nut and bolt on the car BUT DO NOT go cheap on turbo, blow off valve, wastegate, fuel system, and especially TUNE (get someone that knows their ****!). You could probably get away with a cheapy BOV but anyways those items have to be top notch and reliable because its the bread n butter of the entire system...other than that knock urself out n good luck man!!

Make sure you have extra money for the unexpected things that come up.

What are you doing for the hot side parts?

oh and always remember this...it comes in handy in life>>> (Cheap, Fast, Reliable....PICK TWO!) thats how i see it from learning the hard way lol again good luck and remember to use "search", has everything you can possibly need, seriously.
