Default Hot side tubing size?

I've searched the fourms for some time now and cant find any info on tubing size for the hot side? 2.5"....3"??? I have a 408 with an st80. I want to build a set up similar to this one.

2 1/2 will be more than enough,you could run 2 1/4 and be just fine

Would 3" be too big? Its what I have now. If it is then I'll go with 2.5.

i would stay away from the 3'',bigger tubing tends to loose velocity and heat causing slower spool times,like i said 2 1/4 would probably be best.
i've made over 2000 hp with 2 1/2 tubing

My vote is for 2.5" . That will support a ton of horsepower.

another vote for 2.5", works great. Stock manifolds and truck manifolds are about 2 1/4" at the exits so anything around there would be ideal good luck
