Default Rear End

i got two questions about the 7.5 rear end in the 99 camaro z28s.......

1)how hard is it to remove the whole center section of the diff in the rear end and install a new one already set up?

2)how much power can these rear ends handle when i put a set of 3.73 gears in?

There is no "set-up" center section in a GM 10-bolt rear end. You have to buy gears (and a new posi if you're inclined) and then have the pinion/backlash/gear mesh set.

If you've never done it before, I'd suggest leaving that chore to professionals, as it's as exacting as assembling an engine shortblock.

gm 10 bolts also break on stock power all the time. So as far as how much power they can hold reliable is less then stock.
