Default Got the WS6 to the 1/4 not impressed

I added a few things to this post.

Car is a 97 WS6 A4 stock engine trans and stall with about 69k miles 3/4 tank of gas.

Mods are
PS longtubes and ORY
loudmouth 1
moser 9" with 3.70 gear
pst alum drive shaft
umi relo brackets lower control arms pan hard tunnel mount tq arm 3 point subframe connectors
underdrive pully
52mm bbk throttle body with coolant bypass
delete air egr and abs
mt et street drag radials
strano rear springs with single adj koni
lt4 Knock module

Car had a new opti and fuel filter put on within 3 k miles and just got new Taylor over the valve cover wires and new plugs 200 miles ago with the header install. No wires are burnt up. It also has an msd coil on it and probably a few things I am forgetting. I have been running 94 octane gas in it as well.

Best time which was after dark
reaction time .004 with .0 being perfect
60ft 2.042
330ft 5.90
1/8 9.087
1/8 74.24 mph
1/4 14.077
1/4 100.41 mph

I know the car leaves a bit slow but I was hoping it would be a bit better top end with the better flowing exhuast.
I need a nice stall to help get this thing moving a bit quicker but is there anything I should look for to get more out of it or is this about right for this car in Ohio in the summer time 80 degrees with moderate humidity.
Best 1/8 at a different track was something like an 8.8 at 80mph in cooler air and less fuel in tank.

yeah something is not right.

You should be mid 13s at least even with that 60 with those mods.

check to see if you are getting any knock retard.

I will have to get some better software and check for that. I did add on the original post that it has a lt4 km but that doesnt mean I am not getting knock retard. One other thing I forgot to post is that there are some hypertech stickers under the hood from before I got the car not sure if it was put back to stock before being sold or not.

Get that thing checked out. With those mods, even on a stock stall, you should easily be in the low 13's.

does it feel like its pulling better up top after the exhaust? im not sure about a 97 but my 95 when it was stock had traction control. i can see that slowing you down. when you break the wheels loose from a stop does it all of a sudden stop spinning the tires and drop your rpm? if you are not sure check it out

A tune definitely wouldn't hurt. The mph might be right if it was over 100 degrees, but at 80 it should be a bit higher. The 9" and slicks definitely aren't helping the mph either though. I'd say to get a drag radial on it when you do the converter (at the bolt-on level they should be fine for traction without hurting you up top), get it tuned, and make sure everything is tuned up on it. Then try it in cooler weather and see if you can't get it closer to 104-105 mph.

as stated elevation could have soemthing to do with it? not sure what ohios at?
also as stated that 9" and slicks are slowing you down.
also the fact that you have deleted the egr and air will definitly hurt if you esp haven't tuned. i doubt the hypertech isn't still installed if you don't have t.
get a stall and run with a 1/4 tank get a pcm for less tune and you should be hittin flat 13's
hope that helps

I would say something's wrong. I run 8.9 1/8th with a 2.3 60ft with headers/exhaust only.

it's hard to say something is wrong, altitude,DA etc. are major factors!
my old iroc ran 13.3 @15'above sea level and 13.7 @2400'

No traction control on it. Trust me if it did have that the first thing I would do would be do away with it.

I know the 9" isnt helping but I was hoping that the light weight drive shaft would offset a little of the extra rotating mass. I changed the first post to reflect that they are MT drag radials for tires and they are mounted on stock WS6 rims. I am sure a tune would help I was going to get it dyno tunned or was at least thinking about it but the GM tuner at the closest place quit and all the other guys are mostly ford tuners.

I have Jet DST but without having a wideband I am afraid to do too much tweaking and hurt the engine. Does anyone do the email tunes for that program or do you need the lt1 edit for an email tune.

I was really hoping for a better time after doing all the work for headers and so forth. Making it even worse my best friend ran 12.7 with his 87 stang.
The plan is for a FLT trans and a yank stall in the next year and then Advanced inductions heads cam and intake work later. I would have done all that already but I am getting too far into debt now to put more on credit cards.

That's just the 9" sucking up power! Nothing you can do but to keep modding. Personally you could of done a **** load more mods such as ported heads/cam, before ever thinkin about putting in that hog *** 9". guys run 11's all day on the stock 10 bolt with the a4. Just my two cent's don't take it personal!

Thats hog wash about the 9" hurting your power like that, I installed a 9" in mine, i went from 98 mph in 28-2900 DA with the 10 bolt & 3.42s to 99 mph in 3700 DA with the 9" & 4.11s, something is not right, but its definitely not the 9" . Another thing to remember, reaction time has nothing to do with ET, the clock doesn't start untill you break the beam, ALWAYS remember that. I do see you don't have a converter, GET ONE!!, this will do wonders for the 60ft. i also see you had 3/4 tank of gas, this isn't helping either, run less, you really need to found out the DA when you go for that day, this will help determine how good or bad its going to run, in the end, you'll find out just how much that 9" ISN'T hurting you, but its nice to have that extra insurance.
