Default How to clean exhaust

My tailshaft just aquired a nice hairline crack in it and i was driving around on it while it was leaking all over my new y pipe. It is dried on now and i have no idea how to get it cleaned off........so may say its underneither and noone sees it but understand that i am OCD about my car and want it to look its best. Any thoughts?
