Tinker AFB

Anyone from here and what's around it..

EDIT: Same for Sheppard AFB..does that have a Military Fire Dept as well..

tinker here...i believe that the FD on base is ran by civilians...not 100% sure...i never see them unless they are eating...

what is tinker like in general? i live only 20 miles from there, but never got to explore the base. i have thought about trying to get over there come my end of service, but want to know how the setup is.

Sheppard has a Fire department. It is a mix of enlisted and civilians. If you like the big city life, stick to Tinker. The Altus folks come to Sheppard for fun, and we all go to Dallas or OKC.

Jack
