Default Dead radio input? Can it be replaced?

This is for my 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The radio was always a weak signal that was staticy. People said to check for corrosion on the antenna lead on the back of the radio. I kept sticking it in and out If I stuck it in a little and kept it at the right angle it got perfect signal. This leads me to believe that the vagina part of the plug is bad. On the back of the radio theres a little door to access. I took it off and theres a little screw holding that socket. I couldn't get it out but is this part replaceable? This model radio is kind of expensive because a factory CD player only came in the higher models for this year. I'll take some pics if you'd like
thanks
