Default lt1 tune

ok i have a 95 firebird with 383 and a cam with other bolt ons it was running great the fans were working it was running 170-190 easy then the fans stopped running and i used a tech 2 to manully turn them on it didn't help much it now is running 210-230 way too hot i know both fans work. i have a tunercats and cannot find where the fan turn on/off setting is that goes off coolant temp. the ac has no freon but that shouldn't affect the 1st fan turn on and it was running exelent earlier. it is running lean too not bad though and as i said earlier it was running great earlier. it has a new 160 tstat.

maybe a bad coolant temp sensor? Also, if the coolant levels low, it will throw off the coolant temp sensor, and possibly throw off your readings...something to think about

Its going to be in the ecm constants table under fan 1thresh hold and and fan2 and so on. If you go to cz28 under the pcm tuning table there is a sticky that walks you through that.

ok now i am confused the car started today and it is running perfect i did tune it to have the fans turn on all the time so i know if they are working it hit 175 and stayed there for easely 5-10 min till i shut it off. i am thinking that the tstat got stuck but that dosn't explain why the fans didn't work either

I think CATS moved it into the main table screen a few revisions back. On my TUnercat its on the TABLES menu, verry middle of the 3 columns of tables. Don't go into constants or switch tables.

thats where mine is i just made them come on at 100* f car ran at 185 constant even though i was getting in it alot and the iat was 118* so i am happy if the fans keep working and the tstat dosn't get stuck thats what i think happened. it seems to run lean but the baro is at 4.72 and should be at 2.xx so i need to find the cause of that.
