Looking for input on upgradeing mass air and throttle body
I have a stock bottom end ls1 with stage 2 patriot heads and a torquer v.3 cam with a 78mm fast intake and was wondering should I upgrade from the stock throttle body and mass air? I have the volant intake instead of a lid also. I was thinking about going to a 85mm mass air and 85 mm throttle body and porting my fast intake to match the throttle body. What do you guys think? I was thinking the 85mm truck mass air I know the Grantellis are junk. I really don't want to spend the cash to go to a 92/92 fast setup to gain 15hp.

My thoughts..
-Keep your stock MAF, descreened. They're good for about 550rwhp before they start becoming a real restriction. Also much easier to tune. Some other MAF's give tuners nightmares.
-You should gain more than 15hp with a 92/92 (retuned of course)
-Granatelli's are junk
-If your TB isn't ported yet I do TB porting for $55 shipped (had to throw my plug in there )
Good luck

If you have not ported the stocker then get it done.
As far as upgrading the intake manifold to something like a 92/92 you will see an increase with a tune, but honestly it is a personal financial decision. If it were me I'd say its not worth the cost on stock bottom end. If you were looking for a max effort set up then definitely go this route.
